Lowell Journal, 9 Jan 1895

The death angel came into our midst, last Friday, taking Chas. Rickner to his
eternal home, after enduring with much patience a long-continued illness.  He
was much loved by all that knew him and his life was worthy of imitation.  The
services were held at the S. B. M. E. church, Elder Davis officiating.  He
leaves a wife, two daughters and two sons, besides a large circle of friends to
mourn his loss.  A large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last
resting place in So. Boston cemetery.
