The Ionia County News, Thursday, July 8, 1943
Herman Rieger died Tuesday night at 10 o’clock at his home on Wall street.  He 
was 72 years old.  He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Martin 
Cook of Lansing and Mrs. Milo Peterson of Greenville; four sons, Walter Rieger 
of Iona, Albert Rieger, with the U. S. Army, Ernest Rieger and Arthur Rieger 
at home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at three o’clock at the 
Bradley funeral home.  Rev. Paul Stewart will officiate and burial will be in 
Balcom cemetery.
