Ionia Sentinel Standard, 5 Jun 1990

Lester N. Rier, 90, of Saranac died June 2 at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. 
He attended Welch rural school and worked at Mitchell-Bentley Corp. for 20 years.

Surviving are a brother, Milo Rier of Gresham, Ore.; a niece, Thelma Bisel of
Ionia; two nephews, Roland Rier of Oregon and Melvin Ludlow of Orleans.  He was
preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Complete funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Cook Funeral Home,
with the Rev. William Dornbush of Zion United Methodist Church officiating. 
Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.  The family will meet relatives and friends
one hour prior to the funeral service.
