Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Mar 1950

Shirley Gay Ries, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Ries, of Rockford died at
Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids Saturday only three hours after birth.

Surviving are the parents; a brother, Steven, 15 months old; and the grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Otis Ries of Ionia Route 1 and Mrs. Olin Smith of Lyons.

Funeral services were conducted by Dr. Paul Stewart Monday at 1 p.m. from Myers
funeral home.  Interment was in Balcom cemetery.
