Ionia Sentinel, 14 Oct 1963

Mrs. Lottie Ries, 68, 549 Blanchard street, Muir, died Sunday at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital where she was admitted Friday night.

Mrs. Ries formerly lived in Bryan, Ohio and moved to Muir from Ionia 12 years 
ago.

Surviving are her husband, Otis; two sons, Gordon of Ionia, and Hubert of 
Stanton; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Sprank and Mrs. Marilyn Hanline of Muir; 16 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Delmar Brown of 
Stryker, Ohio, Mrs. William Knapp of Pulaski, Ohio; four brothers, Dan and 
Luther Wiles of Pulaski, Ohio, George of Greenville, Ohio, and Michael of 
Missouri.

The body will be at Estep funeral home until Tuesday when it will be taken to 
the Blanchard street home to repose until time of service Wednesday at 2 p.m. 
at First Christian church of  Muir.  The Rev. Roger Wright will officiate and 
interment will be at Balcom cemetery.  Bearers will be Elbert? Edmunds, Ernest 
Edmunds, Edwin Albright, Elwood Stoudt, Virgil Rountree and Vernon Barclay.
