Thursday evening, at 8 o'clock, following a short illness lasting only since Tuesday. The cause of her death was given as pneumonia. Mrs. Ries, who before her marriage was Miss Cora Bates, was born in Ohio September 16, 1886, and is survived by her husband, two children, Mrs. Pearl Canfield, of Belding, and Kenneth Ries, at home; the aged mother, Mrs. Dow, who lives at the Ries home and who has been ill for a number of years; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Seberence and Mrs. Anne Folks, of Hudson, and a half-brother, Harry Dow, of Vickeryville. The funeral will be held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will take place at Highland Park cemetery.
