Irene Virginia (Adams) Rigdon, 80, formerly of Lyons, died Friday, November 
17, 2006 at her home in Fairdealing, MO.  Mrs. Rigdon was born February 10, 
1926 in Ripley County Missouri.  She was married to Woodrow W. (Dick) Rigdon 
on June 14, 1941 in Doniphan, MO and he preceded her in death on March 28, 
2003.  Irene was a talented artist and she also enjoyed and was a skilled 
woodworker, seamstress and designer.  For 17 years Irene worked at the factory 
in Ionia that was once known at Mitchell Bentley.

Irene is survived by one son, Woodrow Wilson Rigdon Jr. and wife Joyce of 
Lonoke, AR; four daughters, Pamela Ann Coble of Fairdealing, Patsy Ruth Miller 
and Husband Richard of Caulfield, MO, Paula Jean Neal of Fairdealing, and 
Penny Kay Jenkins and partner Ray Sells of Doniphan, MO.  She is also survived 
by a niece loved as a daughter, Lynna Gail Seabrook of Ionia and a sister-in-
law she loved as a sister, Alma (Adams) Sprague also of Ionia.  In addition 
she is survived by grandchildren, Shawn, Kelly and Shannon Sible, Eric Miller 
and Ricky Jean Johnston, Robin Kay Jenkins, and Woodrow Wilson II (Trae), 
Trenton, and Tanner Rigdon; great grandchildren, Glen and Casey Sible, 
Jeremie, Mandi and Bailee Johnston. 

Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home of Neelyville, MO was in charge of arrangements.  
Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, we love you both and you will be greatly missed by 
us all.  In the spring the children of Irena and Dick Rigdon will be holding a 
private family memorial service for their parents.
