For some months Mr. Riker had been in poor health, in fact he suffered a light stroke in the spring. Mr. Riker was born in Kiddville and has been a highly respected citizen in this city for the past 32 years. For the past 25 years Mr. Riker has been doing local and long distance draying and hauling and had a splendid record in this line. He was always faithful to any trust which might be left to his care. Mr. Riker was a great lover of plant life and enjoyed raising flowers and vegetables. The grounds about his home bespeak of his pride in his home and its setting. He will be greatly missed in the community. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Jennie Riker, is a son, Gordon E., of Penns Grove, New Jersey, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Blystone, of the Ashley neighborhood.
