Ionia Sentinel Standard-Mon. may 28, 1923

Mrs. Joseph Calehan, Lafayette street, received word Monday morning telling of the
death Saturday evening, of Mrs. Steven Riker at her home in Detroit. Mrs. Riker was a
resident of Ionia about 23 years ago. Mr. Riker died here at that time. Mrs. Riker has been
living with her son, Fred Riker, in Detroit. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. John Rae, of Owosso, and
the son with whom she lived. Mrs. Riker had been ill about a week, the cause of death being heart
trouble. The funeral will be held in Detroit, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Mrs. Calehan
left this morning to attend the funeral.
