Portland Observer - Tuesday July 1918

       REMAINS OF MRS.SAM RIKER BURIED HERE.

The remains of Mrs.Samuel Riker were brought to Portland Tuesday, for burial. She 
died at the home of her parents,Mr.and Mrs.Harry Randall, on the river road 
between Lyons and Ionia, having been ill for some time. She is survived by her 
husband and three children, the oldest being about 10 years and the youngest 2. 
The family formerly resided on the Abe Keefer farm, near Collins.
