Burma Riley, age 64, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on 
Oct. 7, 2009.

She was born on Aug. 26, 1945 in Ionia the daughter of Lemmie and Thelma (Cora) 
Gladding. Mrs. Riley drove school bus for Ionia Public Schools for over 27 
years. She married David Riley in Ionia on March 16, 1984 and together they 
shared 25 years of marriage. Together they cared for her brother Donnie for 
many years. 

Surviving are her husband, David Riley of Ionia; daughter, Debra (Christian) 
Lewis of Ovid, N.Y.; grandchildren, Michael Staudenmeyer, Raymond Crippen, 
Angel and Samantha Lewis and Ryan Reister; great-grandchildren, Blake Spicer, 
Zachery Staudenmeyer and Sage and Vincent Crippen and brother, Donnie Gladding.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Raymond Crippen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at North 
Plains Church with Rev. Greg Gladding officiating. A Funeral Luncheon will be 
served at the church following services. Arrangements are entrusted to the 
Schrauben-Lehman funeral Homes, Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
