RUTH L. RILEY 1925-2016
Ruth L. Riley, 91 of Hubbardston, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at County 
Friends AFX in Sumner.

Ruth was born April 19, 1925 in Clinton County the daughter of Tom and Blanche 
(Dikeman) Parks. She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson high School in St.Johns, 
with the class of 1943. Ruth married Joseph R.Riley on Nov. 20, 1948 at St. John 
the Baptist catholic Church in Hubbardston. She worked for Chrysler Corp. before 
retiring in 1979. Ruth enjoyed reading, teaching 4-H,Sewing and cake decorating.

She is survived by her daughter Carol (Dan) Schrauben of Muir, Sons Mike Riley 
of Carson City, Sam Riley of Hubbardston, grandchildren Tracey (Jesse Elsworth) 
Doty, Holly (Doug Kavanagh) Thelen, Justin (Stacey) Thelen, great-grandchildren 
Tanner Doty, Teegan Thelen, sisters Dorothy (Jim) Quick, Phyllis Welton and many 
nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph in 2006; brothers 
Herbert, Raymond, Tom, Samuel and David Parks; and sister Sarah Jane Parks.

A Mass of christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11 AM at 
St.John the Baptist Catholic church in Hubbardston with Fr.Doug Osborn 
celebrating. Interment will be in St.John the Baptist cemetery, Hubbardston. 
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-7 PM with a Rosary service at 6:30 PM 
at the Lux and Schnepp funeral Home, Carson City In lieu of flowers memorials 
may be made to the Hubbardston Historical Society. To view Ruth's obituary or to
