Belding Banner News, 14 May 1919

Edmund Ring, an old-time resident here, died Wednesday, May 7, at the home of 
his daughter, Mrs. Shoup, in Greenville.  He was ninety-two years and six 
months old.  Before going to Greenville to reside with his daughter he lived in 
Alton for a number of years and had a large circle of friends there as well as 
in this locality.  The remains were brought to Smyrna, Friday and funeral 
services were held in Maccabee hall.  The interment was in the family lot in 
Smyrna cemetery.
