Nellie L. Ring, 88, 604 S. Broas Street died Thursday at United Memorial 
Hospital, Greenville following a two month illness.

Mrs. Ring was born November 25, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George 
Hanks.  She was married to Ray Ring on January 1, 1900.  He preceded her in 
death in 1955.  Mrs. Ring was the only remaining charter member of the 
Maccabees of Smyrna.

Survivors include one son Carroll A. Ring of Greenville and nieces and cousins.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home with 
Reverend Wilford D. Wood of Belding officiating.  Burial will be at River Ridge 
Cemetery with temporary entombment until spring.
