Ring, Sr., 78, of Orleans passed away at home on Saturday,, March 14, 2015. Charles was born on April 6,1939 in Belding, the son of Erval and Axa (Adair) Ring. Like many other young men, Charles left school in 1853 to join the United States Army during the Korean War. He proudly served for three years. Returning home he started his working career at LuVan in Belding working up to be plant manager for several years. After LuVan he worked with his friend Henry Clark at Setco for a time and later retired from Federal Mogul in Greenville in 1998. Even after retirement he still enjoyed working with and helping area die shops working on special dies and repair projects. Charles was a talented man and had learned from his many years of experience the special work needed to make dies function properly. Those who worked with him really appreciated his advice and work. Charles enjoyed deer hunting, trips to the casino and finding a good buy at area flea markets. He had a love of family and friends and will be greatly missed. He married the love of his life, Hope Trumble on June 14, 1957 and she preceded Charles in 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters. Charles is loved and survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings. Arrangements by Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home. Burial in Woodard Lake Cemetery.
