Ionia Daily Standard - sat. Feb. 8, 1919


Benjamin D. Rising of Berlin Township near Peck Lake, aged 61 years, met his 
death Tuesday when he fell down stairs from the barn floor to the basement 
floor, striking on his head and causing congestion of the brain. The accident 
happened at the home of his brother, Alvah Rising. A double tragedy was caused, 
in that on the same day his sister, Mrs. Harry Garfield, also died.
