Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. August 31, 1978

MRS. CLARA B.RISING
LAKE ODESSA-Mrs.Clara B.Rising, 93, of 6400 Jordan Rd., Woodland, died Friday 
morning at eh Barry County Medical care facility, where she had been a patient 
since January, 1969.

She was born August 28, 1884 in Woodland, the daughter of George and Mary Smith 
Niethamer and attended North Jordan school.

She married Blake Rising April 23, 1923 in Lake Odessa and he preceded her in 
death April 11, 1974.

Mrs.Rising was a member of Zion Lutheran church in Woodland.

Survivors include one son, Gene of Woodland, three grandsons, Steve, Brad and 
Martin Rising of Richfield, Ohio; one sister, Mrs.Bertha Flory of Woodland and 
Nieces and nephews.

Services are Sunday at 2 p.m from the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa with Rev. Timothy Rothfuss officiating.

Burial in Lakeside Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Friday and 
Saturday 7-9 p.m.
