Ionia Daily Sentinel, 19 Jan 1943

Alvy Rising, 83, died suddenly Tuesday morning at 4 o’clock at his home in 
Saranac.  He had been in poor health for some time but death was unexpected.  
He was born December 17, 1859, in Lorraine county, Ohio.  He was a member of 
the IOOF of Saranac where he had lived for the past twenty years.

Surviving him are his wife, Cynthia; two sons, Francis Rising of Berlin 
township and Rollie Rising of Pontiac.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
