Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Feb. 18, 1965

Walter Ritchey, 86, died at 10:30 Wednesday night at his home in Pioneer, Ohio.

He was born in Pioneer and returned there three and a half years ago after 
residing in Ionia.

Surviving are his wife, Matilda; three sons, Doral of Lansing, Theron of 
Beaverton and Carl of LeGrand, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Forest McLellen of 
Lansing and Mrs. Argyl Lincoln of Greenville; a brother, Noal Ritchey of 
Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Mrs. Cora First and Mrs. Edith McCulley of Lyons, 
Ohio, Mrs. Rachael Clymer of Morenci and Mrs. Ethel Smith of Novi; 17 
grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Prayer service will be at Thompson funeral home in Pioneer Friday at 1 p.m. 
with the Rev. H.D. Brenneman officiating. The body will arrive in Ionia Friday 
evening and friends may call at Myers funeral home after 7 p.m.

Funeral service at Myers funeral home will be at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon 
with the Rev. Brenneman officiating and interment at Woodland Cemetery.
