She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at her home on Belleview Drive, South Ionia, Tuesday morning. She was born in Chicago January 16, 1879, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Bender. She was married July 27, 1902 in Shiloh, Maine, to Burton L. Mitchell, moving to Ionia in 1905. To this union were born seven children, Mrs. Blanche Kauffman of Freeport, Mrs. Ruth Heinze of Potterville, Mrs. Alberta Kauffman of Alto, Mrs. Esther Huyler and Mrs. Maxine West of Greenville, Mrs. Margaret Seidelman of Ionia and Dale of Elkhart, Ind., now on a business trip in Germany. They survive as do 33 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. N. Blanche Ferris of Pasadena, Calif. Mitchell died in 1923. She was married to George Ritenburgh of Ionia March 29, 1933. They lived in the present home twelve years. Ritenburgh also survived her. She was a charter member of the I.H.A. Mission. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Zion Evangelical U.B. church. Interment will be in Tuttle cemetery. The body will repose at the Boynton funeral home until Tuesday noon.
