The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 16, 1955


Arlo Ritenburgh, 45, died Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock at his home at Pewamo 
after a long illness.

He was born in Lyons, July 31, 1909, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ritenburgh, 
and attended Pewamo schools.  For 25 years he was employed by the Grand Trunk 
Western Railroad.  He was a member of the Pewamo Methodist church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rachel Schafer of Lowell, and Carolyn 
Ritenburgh of Pewamo; his mother, Mrs. James Ritenburgh; two brothers, Semmear 
and Oscar A. Ritenburgh, of Pewamo; one sister, Mrs. Altha Mitchell of Grand 
Rapids and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at Shaw-Rivett funeral home in 
Muir with the Rev. Robert Watt of the Lyons Methodist church officiating.  
Interment will be at Muir cemetery.
