Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. Sept. 13, 1973

H. Ritenburgh Passes Away
Hubert C. (Shorty) Ritenburgh, 76, of Lake Odessa passed away suddenly at his home
last Thursday evening.

He was born June 7, 1897 in Orange township, son of Ira and Minnie (Dye) Ritenburgh
and was a lifelong resident of Ionia county. He married Lagreta Russell of Lake Odessa
July 10, 1943.

Mr. Ritenburgh was employe by the Lake Odessa Canning Co. and later by the village
of Lake Odessa, retiring several years ago.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Van of Coldwater, James E. Robert and Roger of
lake Odessa; two daughters, Rose at home and Mrs. Beatrice Burton of Lake Odessa and one
granddaughter.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at two o'clock at Pickens-Koops funeral Chapel.
Rev. Myron Bouters officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
