September 17, 2022 RITENBURGH Kenneth Ritenburgh lost his life to Covid on Friday September 2, 2022, at the age of 87. He married Gayle Clark December 31, 1960. Kenneth served in the United States Army for 2 years. He worked at General Tire in Ionia and later took a position at General Motors in Lansing until his retirement.Ken was a volunteer firefighter for the Orleans Fire Department for many years. After retirement Ken and Gayle enjoyed going to auctions. They bought and restored furniture and would later sell the items at the Antique Mall in Lake Odessa. Ken enjoyed spending time in his pole barn. He especially loved buying, fixing and tinkering with tractors. Surviving Kenneth are his wife Gayle Ritenburgh, son of Brian Ritenburgh, daughters Lorrie (Joe) Birdsall and Deanne (Todd)Jenks, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-children. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Todd, daughter Amy Jo and grandson Derek Herald. There will be a visitation on Saturday,September 24,2022 from 10 a.m until noon at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. There will not be a Luncheon following the services due to concerns of Covid.
