All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandy Heintzelman sheintz@iserv.net May 27, 2010, 11:33 pm Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 13 Nov 1944 At 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning at the Boynton funeral home, final rites will be held for Frank Ritenburgh, 57-year-old lifelong resident of Ionia county, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Ionia County Memorial hospital where he was taken Friday. He had been ill since Wednesday. The Rev. Dwight M. Kitch, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Tuttle cemetery. Mr. Ritenburgh was born in Orange township June 6, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ritenburgh. December 15, 1909, he was married to Flora Youngs and they had lived in Orange a short time before moving to Ionia where they have resided 25 years, for 20 years in their present home on King street. He had been employed by the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company as a trucker eight years and previous to that was in charge of the bulk plant for the Sinclair Oil company for six years. Surviving are his wife, Flora; three children, Kenneth Ritenburgh of Elgin, Ill., Mrs. Gladys Ries and Miss Hazel Ritenburgh, at home; two grandchildren; his father, George Ritenburgh of South Ionia; a brother, Earl Ritenburgh, of Iron Mountain; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Worden of Cadillac and Mrs. Ray Youngs, of Berlin township.
