Ionia Sentinel, 14 Nov 1955

Martha Etta Ritenburgh, 71, 561 Harrison street, died Monday morning at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been confined for six days.

She was born July 7, 1884 in Fowler, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter 
Whitten.  Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death six years ago.

Surviving are one son, Oliver Ritenburgh of Ionia; three daughters, Alice 
Ralston, Mrs. Roy Smith of Ionia and Mrs. Roy Grant of Beaverton; 30 
grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Whitten and Mrs. Augusta Whitmore of Ionia 
township.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Myers funeral 
home with the Rev. J.L Ward of LeValley Methodist church officiating.  
Interment will be in the Lyons cemetery.
