Floyd M. Ritter, 76, of route one, Sunfield, died Tuesday morning at the home of his
brother Harold, of rural Lake Odessa following a long illness.  He was born in Brown
county, S.C., January 17, 1890, the son of Anthony and Jane Stanton Ritter.  He
moved to Lake Odessa area when he was four.  He had lived at his home on Bippley
road, Sunfield, since 1935.  He was married March 12, 1910, to Pearl Gibbons.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl; four sons, Maxwell of Bronson, Paul of Bay City,
Maynard of Alma, Royal of Potterville; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Reynolds of Hastings
and Mrs. Mack Harris of Bellwood, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Claude Teachout of Lansing,
one brother, Harold of Lake Odessa, and 12 grandchildren.

The body is at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa until services at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, with interment at Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. Luther Brokaw will officiate.
