Lake  Odessa Wave - May 27, 1898
            DIED

RITTER - Guy, infant son of Anthony and Jane Ritter. Was born April 14, 1898, and
departed this life May 20,                  
1898, aged one month and six days.

   God plucked the bud from earth below that it might bloom in heaven. The funeral
was preached at the 
house, at 2: p.m., May 21, by the writer, and was well attended The remains were
laid away in the village 
cemetery.

   Another precious little oe

     Has joined the angel band.

   And gone to sing God's praises

     In that bright and happy land.

   The home is now so lonely:

     Crying out in accents wild.

   Unto our God in Heaven,

     "Oh give me back my child."



   Oh, look beyond earth's treasures,

     It's sorrows and its woes..

   Above its pains and pleasures,

     Life's poetry and prose.

   We know the heart must sorrow,

      It's human, and must weep"

   There nee is be some outlet

     For feelings strong and deep.

   Not long will be the parting.

     At most, a few brief years:

   Look forward to the meeting,

     Look upward through your tears,

   There lies your consolation.

     Your dearest hope and rest:

   And there will be your loved one,

     Asleep on Jusus' breast.
