The Ionia Standard, Friday, August 13, 1915
Isaac Ritter, who went from Ionia county to South Dakota in the hegira of 
1881, died at his home near Groton, on the 3d inst.  He was a Civil war 
veteran, and was best known here in G.A.R. circles.  He was a brother of 
Anthony Ritter of Lake Odessa, who attended the funeral.
