Mrs. Florence M. Ritter, 79, of Lake Odessa died Sunday morning at Provincial
house in Hastings.  She was admitted there October 23 from Osteopathic hospital
in Grand Rapids.

Born in Portland, April 21, 1894, she was the daughter of George and Jennie
Kneale Carbaugh and was a 1912 graduate of Portland high school.

She was married to Harold Ritter of Lake Odessa February of 1925.

They lived in Detroit many years until his retirement when they moved to a farm
on Musgrove highway in 1957.  After her husband’s death December 7, 1970, she
purchased a home in Lake Odessa where she had made her home since.

She was a member of United Methodist church of Lake Odessa and the United
Methodist Women’s organization; Lake Odessa senior citizens; Lake Odessa chapter
of OES, Lakeside auxiliary chapter of World War I Veterans, the Three by Four
club, Friendship Club, West Odessa Missionary Service, and Wooland Wagoneers
Pony club.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Minnie Clark of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens-Koops funeral home in
Lake Odessa.  Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be at
Lakeside cemetery.
