Lora Ritz, 99, of St. Johns formerly of Saranac passed away May 14, 2013 in St. 
Johns. She was born April 25, 1914 in Fenwick, the daughter of Ernest and 
Lottie (Hatinger) Thomas.

Lora married Raymond Ritz in 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1983.

She attended Shiloh Community Church. Lora loved being a Grandma and loved to 
play games with the grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Surviving are her children Kenneth (Dee) Ritz Sr. of Texas and Edna Elaine 
Guthrie and Norm Bancroft of St. Johns, 10 grandchildren, several great and 
great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Lora was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, son Carl, 
granddaughter Rebecca Kugler, grandson CJ Alt and four brothers and four 
sisters.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Shiloh Community Church with 
Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment Sunny Hill Cemetery. Visitation 
will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and on 
Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Shiloh Community Church, 
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
