Jan. 19, 1939 Aged Lady Passes After Short Illness Mrs. Frances Rivette, age 88, passed away Sunday at her home on E. Congress street after only a few days' illness. Mrs. Rivette had made her home here for the past eight years and was a former resident of Grand Rapids and Cedar Springs. Surviving are a son, Leo, of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Klock of this city and Mrs. Mabel Bott of Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Annie Liddy of Cadillac; three brothers, Joseph DeLosh of Turner, Ed. DeLosh of Grand Rapids and George DeLosh of Racine, Wisconsin; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Members of the American Legion Auxiliary and the W.R.C. attended the services in a body. Mrs. Rivette was a member of both organizations. Pall bearers were the four grandsons, Dale Klock of Lansing, George and Beaumont Bott and Al Duemler, all of Grand Rapids. Arrangements were in charge of Hall & Cichy and burial was in Soldiers' Home cemetery, Grand Rapids. Among those from out of town who were here to attend the services were Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Liddy of Flint, Joseph DeLosh of Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Klock of Lansing, Mrs. Mabel Bott, Mr. and Mrs. Al Duemler, Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont Bott, Mr. and Mrs. George Bott and Mrs. Bieberly all of Grand Rapids. -Card of Thanks- We, her children, wish to thank all our friends and mother's good neighbors for their many kind expressions at the time of her death and burial. For the lovely flowers and Mass cards, and the many acts of kindness especially Hall & Cichy, Fr. O'Brien, Dr. Hollard, the singers and altar boys. Her son, daughters and families, L.G.
