Church, on Sunday afternoon, was very largely attended. The society of Christian Endeavor of the Church of Christ, and Epworth League of the M.E. Church joined and attended in a body, out of respect for two brothers: Charles who is a member of the C.E., and Herbert, who is a member of the E.L. The sermon was by Rev. G. K. Berry of the Church of Christ. The vocal music was by Mrs. Tunison, Miss Katie Spencer; Messrs. Horace Peck and Thane Benedict. Deceased was born in Baltimore, Mich., Nov. 27, 1872, where she spent her childhood, and previous to moving to Ionia, lived in Grand Rapids, where she joined the M.E. Church while under the pastorate of Rev. A. M. Gould. She was a member of the Epworth League, Y.W.C.A., Good Templars Lodge No. 814, and was a worker in Sunday school. The floral remembrances were many and beautiful. A large pillow of the choicest greenhouse flowers was sent from the Grand Rapids lodge of Good Templars; A panel of white and pink carnations from Mr. Parmeter and Miss Jackman, Grand Rapids; the Junior Christian Endeavor of Church of Christ, panel of white carnations and ferns; Miss Mabel Ward, a panel of carnations; also a panel of carnations from Mrs. J. Norton and daughter; M.E. Sunday school a panel of calla lilies; Epworth League, a panel of carnations; friends in Epworth League, a panel of hyacinths; West Branch Aid, panel of lilies; a beautiful wreath from the family, of white and cream roses, easter and calla lillies and lilies of the valley. Friends at the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Herrington and son, Mrs. and Mrs. H. M. Huff of Grand Rapids. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robb who lives in Huron, South Dakota, was detained by sickness. Father and mother, two brothers, a sister and adopted sister mourn the loss of one so true.
