Wave, Thurs. Dec. 26, 1974 Rites Thurs. For Harold D. Robbins Harold D. Robbins, age 47, passed away early Monday morning at Pennock Hospital following a lingering illness. He was born December 22, 1927, the son of Lester and Maybelle (Hanson) Robbins. Mr. Robbins attended school in Lansing. He served in the U.S. Navy for 2 years during WWII. He married Marilyn Towns on November 17, 1957 and had resided in Woodland since his marriage. He was a partner in the firm of Towns and Robbins Body Shop at Woodland. he was a member of Kilpatrick U.B. Church and had served on the Woodland Council from 1961-64. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Lori) Butner of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 2 sons, William Gonyou of Lake Odessa and Matthew Robbins at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Robbins of Lansing; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Len (Virginia) Gardner, Mrs. Marion Schooltz, and one brother, Wayne Robbins, all of Lansing and several nieces and nephews. The body reposes at Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Speas officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Cemetery. Committal services will be held at the chapel. There will be no visiting hours on Christmas Day.
