Robbins, of Fenwick, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at his home. He was born October 19, 1919 in Port Huron the son of George and Lavina (Goheen) Robbins. He married his wife, Ila U. (Urmy) Robbins, on September 9, 1949 in Croswell. Mr. Robbins has been a resident of the Fenwick area since 1972 and was retired as an occupational therapist and activities director. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW Post 5065, an alumni of the Medical College of Virginia and also belonged to the American Association of Occupational Tehrapists. Ronald is survived by his wife, Ila U. Robbins; children, Sue and Andy DeWitt of Fenwick, Douglas Robbins and Connie Boness of Fenwick, James and LeeAnn Robbins of Portland; seven grandchildren, Jamie and Michael Upton, Evan, Lisa and Amy DeWitt, Ryan Danielson, Anthony Boness; one great granddaughter, Zava Beth Upton; one brother, Robert and Betty Robbins of Port Huron; one sister-in- law, Helen Walker of Port Huron; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Maxine and Dorothy; and two brothers, James A. and Charles F. Robbins. A private family memorial service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home at Sheridan with Pastor Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh Community Church officiating. Interment at the Clear Lake Cemetery, Fenwick. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial considerations to either hospice of Michigan or to the Americana Cancer Society.
