The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 27, 1926

Mrs. Marion F. Roberts, for the past 45 years a resident of Ionia township, 
died at the home Friday evening at 5 o’clock.  Mrs. Roberts had been in 
failing health for some time, and had been confined to her bed for a number of 
months.  At the time of her death Mrs. Roberts was nearly 82 years of age.  
Old age was given as the cause of her death.

Mrs. Roberts was the widow of Samuel C. Roberts, a veteran of the Civil war.  
He has been dead for several years. She is survived by three children, J. 
Roberts, who lives at home, Mrs. Del Myers, of Ionia township, and Mrs. Frank 
Francis, of East Main street.  She is also survived by three grandchildren; 
Mrs. Clare Broad, of Ionia township; Miss Mabel Francis, and Harry Myers, of 
Ionia.

The funeral services will be held from the residence in Ionia township Tuesday 
afternoon at 2:30, city time.  Rev. Herbert Hurrell will officiate at the 
service.  Burial will be made in Highland Park cemetery.
