Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Oct. 23, 1969


Funeral services for Mrs. Keitha Marie Roberts, 30, 217 Dunbar, Potterville, 
will be Saturday at 2 pm at Boynton-Leddick funeral home. Rev. John Hadley of 
Lincoln Avenue Baptist church will officiate. Interment will be at Muir 
cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts died early Wednesday morning at the Ingham County Medical center 
at Lansing after being a patient one week. She underwent open heart surgery 
Tuesday.

Born December 21, 1938 in Saranac she was the daughter of Harold and Clarabella 
Wood Childs. She attended school in Saranac and also Haynor rural elementary 
school. The family moved to Lyons in 1949. August 29, 1958 she was married in 
Muir to Harold E. Roberts. She had attended the Baptist church in Portland.

Besides her husband, Harold, she leaves a son, Rodney and daughter, Anita, both 
at home; father, Harold M. Childs, Sr., of St. Martinville, La.; mother, Mrs. 
Aulden Eddy of Lyons; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Martha Tingley of Orleans; six 
brothers, Charles Childs of Addison. Sgt. Harold Childs, Jr., of Ft. Benning, 
Ga., Ivan of St. Martinville, La., Kenneth of Holly, Robert and William both of 
Lyons; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Borels, of St. Martinville, La., Mrs. Revard 
Tyler of Ionia and Leila Childs of Lyons.
