Hiram J. Roberts, 80, died early this morning at his home in Fairplains 
township.  He was born in Lyons, October 9, 1868.  He had lived at his present 
home since 1902 and was a painter and interior decorator for many years.  Mr. 
Roberts was married to Addie Sunderlund in 1892.  She died in 1899.  March 1, 
1928 he married Mrs. Phena Goodrich.  She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. F. M. Haskins of St. Paul, Minn.; one 
son, Floyd Roberts of rural Fenwick, one step-son, Stewart Drier of Greenville, 
18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stebbins Funeral Home 
in Sheridan with interment in Lyons cemetery.
