Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 Feb 1986

Elga E. Roberts, 80, of 530 N. Price Street, Ionia, died Sunday evening in Ionia
County Memorial Hospital.  The son of Vern and Etta Smith Roberts, he was born
in Orleans Aug. 9, 1905.  He was married to Edith M. Ward in Ionia on July 14,
1925.  He was employed by Ypsilanti-Reed and successor firms and was a member of
Ionia Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Edith M.; five daughters, Mrs. Burl (Henrietta) Musser
of Sheridan; Ruth Ann Leuttjohann of Globe, Ariz.; Mrs. Clinton (Estella)
Jeffers of Sheridan; Mrs. Carl (Ellajean) Miller of Ionia; Mrs. Elijah (Joan)
Ward Jr. of Ionia; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.

Funeral services will be held from Montgomery-Leddick Funeral Home Thursday at 1
p.m. with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating.  Burial will be in Easton
Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 2
to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
