Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 May 2015

Connie Jo Roberts, 51, of Ionia, passed away May 28, 2015.  She was born Jan. 27, 
1954, in Greenville, the daughter of Richard and Beverly (Raby) Swain.  She loved to

crochet, cook and read books. 

Surviving are her parents, Richard Swain of Ionia and Beverly Young of Ionia; 
children, Lacey Turnes and Philip Schmitz of Ionia, Megan Roberts and DJ Wiley of 
Ionia and Keely Roberts and Adam Cope of Ionia; sister Debora Johnson of Belding; 
grandmother Pauline (Dick) Denton of Florida; grandchildren Dakota, Logan, Giovanni,

Trulilly and Serenity; niece Ashley (Daniel) Zander of Greenville; great niece and 
nephew Peyton and Lain Zander.  She was preceded in death by her step-father Gordon

Young and sister Ginger Swain.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, from 5-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her family in care of the 
funeral home.
