GEORGE D. ROBERTS
Lake Odessa - George D. Roberts, 87, died suddenly Sunday at his Jordan lake
cottage. He was born August 20, 1882 the son of Daniel and Cynthia Jordan Roberts in Woodland 
township. He was married to Caroline Neithaner in Woodland on March 2, 1904 and they
were lifelong residents of the area.

He was a retired farmer and owned and operated Roberts cabins on Jordan lake.He was
a member of Zion Lutheran church.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline; three sons, Forrest of Alma, Laverne, of lake
Odessa and Roy of Nashville; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Pickens funeral chapel, with Rev.
Randall Metz officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
