Roy George Roberts
Nashville - Roy George Roberts, 83 of Mason road, Nashville passed away Sunday July
3, 1994 at Pennock Hospital.

He was born November 4, 1910 in Woodland township the son of George and Caroline 
(Niethamer) Roberts.

He graduated from Woodland High School in 1929 and attended Western Michigan 
University for one year.

He was married to Virginia Hoover, march 29, 1930 in Lagrange, Indiana.

Mr. Robert lived in Lake Odessa before moving to his farm near Nashville in 1949.

He worked at the A &  P grocery store in lake Odessa for 15 years, the Reo Motors
and Propeller factory in Lansing and theEaton manufacturing Company in Battle creek for
23 years, retiring in 1973.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Woodland.

He was preceded in death by a son Gary; three grandsons, James and Jeffrey Taylor
and Thomas R. Hamilton; one brother, Forrest Roberts.

Surviving are his wife Virginia; his children, Irene and Russell Ames of Hastings,
Eunice and Rex Goodemoot of Lake Odessa, Margene and James Taylor of Normal, Illinois; 18 
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; on brother, LaVerne Roberts of lake Odessa; a
sister-in-law, Pearl Roberts of St .Johns; several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon July 6, at the Zion Lutheran Church
of Woodland, Pastor Michael Anton officiating. Interment lakeside cemetery, lake
Odessa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church of Woodland.

Arrangements by Koops funeral Chapel, lake Odessa.
