Roberts, 73, died at his home at 417 Division street Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock. He had been in poor health for some time. Born July 11, 1869, in Ionia city, the son of Mr. and Mrs. N.J Roberts, he had lived his entire life in this vicinity. He had lived his his present home for the past 32 years. For over 25 years he was employed with the Pere Marquette car shops in Ionia, was a charter member of he Moose lodge, and a member of the Maccabee lodge. Surviving is the wife, Elnora. Funeral services will be conducted from the Myers funeral home on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery. The body will be at the residence until Wednesday morning. Thursday, November 6, 1941 Funeral services for Walter D. Roberts, 72, who died Monday morning at his home on Division street, were held from the Myers funeral home Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at Highland Park cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Romig of Ionia Orthodox Baptist church officiated. henry Alberts, William Batson, Fred LeValley, William Johnson, Harry Redd, all members of the Moose lodge of which Roberts was a charter member, acted as bearers. Floral arrangements were in charge of Anna Faulkner.
