Roberts who died just two weeks ago, was found dead at her home on Division street Wednesday morning at about 7:30 a.m. Coroner Harry Myers who investigated after neighbors reported that her lights were still burning early Wednesday morning, attributed her death to a heart attack and stated that she had been dead between 6 and 8 hours. Apparently in perfect health Tuesday afternoon, she had been downtown to settle several items for her husband’s estate and had accompanied Mr. Myers to the cemetery lot to look it over. After arriving home she was taken ill at about 6:30 p.m. and neighbors called a local physician for her. She appeared to get better at that time. When Mrs. Arna Faulkner, night telephone operator, returned to her home on Division street early Wednesday morning, she noticed the lights were on and stopped to see if Mrs. Roberts was all right. She found the doors locked and through the window could see her lying on the davenport. Becoming alarmed Mrs. Faulkner called Sheriff Leslie Murphy and Coroner Myers who entered the home and found Mrs. Roberts dead. Mrs. Roberts was 72 years old and was born in Montcalm county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dickinson. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts had lived at the home on Division street for the past 32 years. He died November 3 of this year following a long period of ill health. Since that time Mrs. Roberts had made her home alone. Only survivors are 18 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral home with interment at Highland Park cemetery.
