The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 13, 1937
Nancy Marie Roberts, two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Roberts, 720 
Vaught street, Pontiac, died at the home of her parents Saturday morning after 
an illness of nine days.  Her death was caused from infantile paralysis.  Mr. 
and Mrs. Roberts had moved to Pontiac only three weeks ago Sunday, September 
12, where he is employed with General Motors.

Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts; a half-brother, Ivan Murl, 
eight, and a half-sister, Shirley Mae, nine; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
William Hoople of Hill street, Iona, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ginter, of Lake 
Odessa.  Mrs. Roberts was formerly Miss Lenore Hoople.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Myers 
funeral home, with Rev. George Woolcock officiating.  Interment was in the 
family lot in Balcom cemetery.  The casket was not opened at the services.
