IONIA- Mary A. Robertson, 81, died Friday at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on December 27, 1909, in New Jersey, the daughter of John and 
Virginia Hermans.

She worked for her father at Herman’s Circle Bar in Ionia. She retired from the 
Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons in 1974.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Ionia.

Surviving are; her sister Bertha Pomerville of Lowell; two brothers Albert 
Hermans of Lowell and Emile Hermans of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two husbands; Eugene Carr and Lawrence Robertson.

Funeral mass will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at S.S. Peter and Paul’s Catholic 
Church in Ionia with the Rev. George Darling officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The prayer vigil will be recited Sunday at 8:00 pm at Cook Funeral Home in 
Ionia.

The family will be at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. 
Sunday.

Memorials have been established for the Ionia Area Hospice and the SS. Peter 
and Paul’s Education Trust Fund.
