She had been an invalid of the past two years. Born July 13, 1868 in Ronald township, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Mary Jane Wood Brooks. She spent her early life in Ronald and in March of 1906 she married Henry Robertson. He died in 1937. After his death she sold the farm on which they had lived in Ionia township and moved to Ionia city. She had made her home on Lafayette street since that time. Mrs. Robertson was a member of the Church of Christ, the Ladies’ Aid Society and missionary society of the church, and of the Pleasant Hill Literary club. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. M. B. Peck of Ionia, Mrs. B. H. Segar and Mrs. A. Ray Hufford of Grand Rapids, three stepchildren, Mrs. T. J. Lehman of Ionia, Mrs. R. W. Johnson of Ionia, and G. Duncan Robertson of Detroit, five step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday from the Stone funeral home on East Washington street. Rev. C. A. Brady will officiate and internment will be at Highland Park cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Saturday, November 22, 1941 Funeral services over Mrs. Nellie Brooks Robertson, 71, were held from the Stone funeral home, Friday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock with Rev. C. A. Brady officiating. Interment was at Highland Park cemetery. Bearers were Ralph Smith, Ernest Chase, Benjamin Cox and Ray Curtis. Here to attend the service from away were Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Robertson of Detroit, Mrs. Flora Jerome and daughter, Mrs. Rena Jones, of Saginaw, Mrs. A. Ray Hufford, Mrs. B. H. Segar and daughter, Miss Greta Segar, and son, George Segar, Mrs. Helen Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Ball, Mrs. Ada Shields, Mrs. Robert Offringa, Miss Ruth Hall and Mrs. Ella Dodson, all of Grand Rapids.
