Mrs. Leta V. Robertson, 59, former Leta Eavey of Muir, died Monday afternoon 
at Grand Rapids Osteopathic hospital where she was a patient about three hours 
after she became ill while shoveling snow at her home, 1839 Cornelius SE, 
Grand Rapids.  She was born in Muir, the daughter of Fred and Olive Eavey, and 
moved to Grand Rapids in 1946 and established Leta’s beauty shop at 1222 
Kalamazoo street.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Byron L. Ball of Grand Rapids, Mrs. A. 
N. Thomas of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. John Jellison of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 
and two brothers, Russell L. Eavey of Grand Rapids and Arthur Eavey of Muir.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Eggebeen funeral home in Grand 
Rapids followed by graveside service and burial at 1:30 p.m. at North Plains 
cemetery.  Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph C. Unruh of Smith Memorial 
Congregational church.
