Franklin L. “Frank” Robinson, 72, of Belding passed away Friday afternoon, Aug. 
30, 2002 at his home.  He was born on June 24, 1930 in Howard City, the son of 
Franklin and Winifred (Allen) Robinson.  Frank was a veteran of the Korean War, 
serving in the Navy and Army.  He was a member of the American Legion in 
Greenville and VFW Post 4406 of Belding.

He was married on April 29, 1972 in Orleans to Shirley Burton and she survives 
along with their children, Myron L. “Bink” (Wendy S.) Palmer of Lowell, 
Christine A. (Dennis I.) Dietrich of Belding, Jennie L. (Chad) Remelts of 
Sparta, Becky L. Robinson of Belding, and Adam R. Robinson (fiancée, Nicole 
Devries) of Lowell; grandchildren, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sydney, Gavin, Seth, 
Charlie, Brian and Paul; his sisters and brother, Marguerite (Fain) Nickel of 
Belding, Donna Robinson of Orleans, Ethel (Bud) Powers of Orleans, Emma Bell of 
Grand Rapids and Gene Robinson of Belding.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vern, Stanley, Richard 
and Jack; and a daughter, Betty Robinson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral 
Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating.  
The family greeted relatives and friends Tuesday at the funeral home.  A 
luncheon followed at the VFW Post 4406 in Belding.  Memorial contributions may 
be made to the American Lung Association.
