Robinson passed away at her home in Lyons Sunday night between six and seven o’clock, after an illness of several weeks, aged 72 years, 2 months and 13 days. Mary Baker was born at Hudson, Lenawee county, Mich., August 13, 1839, and moved to Lyons with the family at an early day. Her father Marvin F. Baker built and operated a foundry on the corner lot opposite the E.N. Thayer house. She was married to Cornelius F. Robinson in 1870, and in 1882 moved to South Dakota and lived there for about eight years, returning to Lyons where they have a home in the village and a fine farm south of town. Deceased was a member of the order of Eastern Star and W.R.C. Her friends were legion, and with the relatives unite in extending sympathy to the husband in his sorrow. Brief funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the house, with W.W. Hurd officiating. The music was furnished by Mrs. A.E. Bradt and I.A. Balch. The profusion of beautiful flowers attests to the esteem in which the deceased was held by all. The body was laid to rest in Lyons cemetery.
