(Goodemoot) Livermore Robinson, of Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at Laurel of Kent Nursing in Lowell. Helen, better known as Toad, was born on Sept. 12, 1918 in Sebewa Township, one of eight children of Donald and Sarah (Fox) Goodemoot. She graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1936 and was married to Ray Livermore on Dec. 2, 1939. Together they raised their six children. Following Ray’s passing in 1966, Toad married Otis (Doc) Robinson and assisted with his veterinary practice for many years. Toad was raised in a very musical family. She accompanied her brothers as they sang and had many good hours at the piano at home. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. In her latest years she made each of her grandchildren a quilt and presented the quilts at a picnic in the Lake Odessa Park. These will be cherished keepsakes for all the grandchildren. Toad was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, past member of the mother’s Study Club, Lakewood Area Choral Society, and the Alethians at Central United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, Michael (Karen) Livermore of Deming, New Mexico, Sara Jo (Larry) Cobb, Mary (Patrick) James, Scott (Ester) Livermore all of Lake Odessa, Tom Livermore of Woodland, Robin (Don) Ainsworth of Rockford; daughter in law, Becky Livermore of Woodland; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Mary “Peg” Faulkner; brother, Don (Bernie) Goodemoot; sisters in law, Madelyn Goodemoot, Lois Goodemoot and Eunice Goodemoot; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Raymond Livermore and Otis Robinson; brothers, Francis Goodemoot, Ford Goodemoot, Myron Goodemoot and Rex Goodemoot; sister, Marion McDowell; and granddaughters, Laurie Livermore and Wendy Livermore. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. A visitation with the family will be held from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, No. 14, 2010, at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery next to her husband, Ray Livermore. The family has suggested that memorial contributions in Helen’s name be directed to the Lakewood Educational Foundation. Memories and messages may be left at www.koopsfc.com.
